Shara Bankhead has a diverse work experience in the veterinary field. Shara started their career as a Veterinary Technician at Dunwoody Village in 2003 and then worked as a Lisa Dougherty's manager at New Seasons at Devon. Shara also worked as a Diane's manager Veterinary Technician Assistant at Ardmore Animal Hospital before joining Matthew J Ryan Veterinary Hospital as Elisa Rogers, Manager for an internship. Shara gained exposure and experience in handling and caring for large animals during their internship at New Bolton Center under Jennifer MacComber, Manager. Shara then worked at Havertown Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Technician before joining Metropolitan Veterinary Associates in 2008. At Metropolitan Veterinary Associates, Shara has held various roles, including Human Resources Director, Treatment Coordinator, Specialty Nurse Manager, and Veterinary Technician. In their role as a Veterinary Technician, they specialized in anesthesia for surgery patients and provided comprehensive care for all patients. Shara's extensive education and experience enable their to effectively treat critical care patients. Shara is currently serving as the Human Resources Director at Metropolitan Veterinary Associates.
Shara Bankhead obtained a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management and Services from Thomas Jefferson University from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Degree of Veterinary Technology from Harcum College from 2006 to 2008. Shara also attended Marple Newtown High School in 2005, and they completed a Veterinary Technology program at McVey Retreat, although no specific time frame was provided for this. Additionally, they hold certifications in the VMG Leadership Program, obtained in June 2017 from Veterinary Management Group (VMG), and as a Veterinary Technician, obtained in November 2010 from the Commonwealth of PA Department of State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs.
