Emiel Reiding

Emiel Reiding serves as Secretaris-Directeur at Metropoolregio Amsterdam since August 2020, following a tenure as Directeur Nationale Omgevingsvisie at Ministerie van BZK from October 2017 to August 2020. Prior to this, Emiel held the position of Directeur Nationale Omgevingsvisie and various roles including Hoofd unit Strategie DG Bereikbaarheid and Projectleider at Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Milieu from April 2005 to October 2017. Between 2010 and March 2014, Emiel was a Raadslid at Gemeente Oegstgeest. Emiel began in the consulting field as a (Senior) consultant at Ecorys from June 1999 to April 2005 and worked as Beleidsmedewerker Bestuurszaken at Rijkswaterstaat Noord-Holland from January 1996 to June 1999. Emiel holds a master's degree in Bestuurskunde from Leiden University, completed studies at De Baak in 2016, and graduated from Goois Lyceum in 1988.
