Mark Intres

Mark Intres has extensive experience in communication and management roles within various governmental and regional organizations. Since June 2017, Mark has served as Woordvoerder and member of the management team at Metropoolregio Amsterdam, managing communications with a network of 30 municipalities, two provinces, and the Transport Region of Amsterdam. Concurrently, Mark holds the position of Programmamanager for the Gemeente Amsterdam, working in full-time secondment to the Metropoolregio. As the Fractievoorzitter for D66 Purmerend since May 2014, Mark has also been a council member and commission chair in Purmerend. Prior roles include strategic communication advisor and crisis communications leadership at Veiligheidsregio Zaanstreek-Waterland and Gemeente Zaanstad. Mark's educational background includes a degree from the University of Amsterdam and specialized training in crisis management.
