Pieter I. Broertjes

Pieter I. Broertjes is an experienced professional with a strong background in governance and cultural initiatives. Currently serving as a member of the regiegroep MRA for Metropoolregio Amsterdam since January 2017, Pieter also acts as an ambassador for the Economic Board Utrecht since November 2012 and has held advisory roles with Stichting Muziekcentrum van de Omroep and Stichting Kamp Amersfoort. With a notable tenure as Mayor of Gemeente Hilversum from July 2011 to February 2022, Pieter contributed significantly to regional safety and economic boards. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Social Sciences from Utrecht University, complemented by foundational studies at Johan Oldenbarnevelt Gymnasium in Amersfoort.
