Nina Kiviranta

Nina Kiviranta is the current General Counsel at Metso Outotec. Nina has also served as a member of the Board of Directors at Finavia from March 2016 to March 2021. Prior to their work at Finavia, Kiviranta was the Head of Corporate Legal and Chief Compliance Officer at Nokia Networks from November 2006 to March 2013. In this role, they were responsible for all corporate legal and legal re-structuring work, corporate governance topics, insider and other securities market act related legal matters as well as regulatory legal and anti-trust work on mergers & acquisitions. Nina also led the corporate legal department of 12 lawyers. Kiviranta's main achievement in this position was the successful integration of all corporate related legal matters during and since the formation of Nokia Siemens Network joint venture.

In addition to their role at Nokia Networks, Kiviranta was also the Chief Compliance Officer between 1.2.2010 and 15.3.2013, with the responsibility of Company's Compliance functions and programs. NSN had 6 compliance counsels and one investigator working fulltime on compliance matters globally. In this role, they reported to Nokia Siemens Network Board of Directors and Nokia Audit Committee. During their time as Chief Compliance Officer, they investigated more than 200 compliance cases globally.

Nina Kiviranta has a Master’s Degree in Law from Turun yliopisto - University of Turku.
