Nathaniel Allen

Nathaniel Allen is a highly skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in the design and development of superconducting magnet systems. Currently serving as Magnet Systems Manager at Mevion Medical Systems since January 2021, Nathaniel leads initiatives in advanced superconducting magnet systems for proton beam radiation therapy. Previously, Nathaniel held roles such as Magnet Design Engineer, focusing on superconducting cyclotron magnets, and Mechanical Design Engineer at GE HealthCare, where responsibilities included structural design of superconducting magnets for MRI systems. Nathaniel's academic background includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University, complemented by a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field. Additionally, Nathaniel has served as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant during academic tenure at Tufts University, contributing to both research and instruction in mechanical engineering.
