Hue Ly

Mechanical Structural Engineer at Meyer Sound

Hue Ly has extensive work experience in the engineering field, specializing in the design and development of lighting fixtures and speaker enclosures. They began their career at Peerless in 1989, where they quickly advanced from a Production Engineer to a Senior Design Engineer, working on creating new and custom products. At Finelite Inc., Hue managed design operations and focused on developing LED light fixtures, including a desk lamp that won the Next Generation Luminaries award in 2009. Hue later joined Peerless Lighting as a Senior Lead Design Engineer, where they converted fluorescent luminaires to LEDs and designed the award-winning LED luminaire OPEN. Most recently, Hue worked at Meyer Sound as a Mechanical Structural Engineer, designing speaker enclosures, mechanical components, and rain hoods, as well as performing thermal tests on power supply cases.

Hue Ly holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University, which was obtained from 1986 to 1989. Prior to that, Hue Ly completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1983 to 1986.

In addition, Hue Ly has obtained certifications in "Solving Business Problems" from LinkedIn in October 2016. Hue Ly also holds the certification of "Engineer-in-Training" from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
