John Saunders

John Saunders has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. John currently works as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at M&F Bank NC, where they are committed to meeting the financial needs of underserved populations and geographies. Prior to this, John held multiple senior roles at Tompkins Financial Corporation, including Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager, where they constructed successful fixed-income investment portfolios. John also served as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, where they implemented a direct bank acquisition strategy, and as the Senior Vice President of Direct Services, where they achieved performance and financial goals by directing and managing teams. Earlier in their career, John worked as the Vice President and Treasurer, supervising the treasury activities of the company. In addition, they have additional experience from various companies prior to 1992.

John Saunders completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Morehouse College, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. John later enrolled at Columbia Business School, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance, General, from 1994 to 1996.
