Jaap Jansen

Jaap Jansen is a prominent neuroscientist with extensive experience in neuroimaging and a strong educational background in chemistry and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as the Division Leader of “Cognitive Neuropsychiatry & Clinical Neuroscience” at MHeNs - School for Mental Health and Neuroscience, and as a Full Professor in both the Department of Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology and the Department of Radiology at Maastricht University Medical Center, Jaap Jansen focuses on addressing clinically relevant neurological questions through advanced MRI techniques. Previous roles include Research Fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Postdoctoral Fellow at Kempenhaeghe, and PhD Student at Eindhoven University of Technology/Maastricht University Hospital, with educational qualifications comprising a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and master’s degrees in Radiology and Chemistry.
