Mavreen Tariro Ncube

Mavreen Tariro Ncube has extensive work experience in the mental health field. Mavreen Tariro started their career as an Independent Mental Capacity Advocate at Skills for People in 2007, supporting individuals who lacked the capacity to make their own decisions. Mavreen Tariro then worked as a Substance Misuse Practitioner at Gateshead Primary Care Trust, providing assessments, care plans, and interventions for clients with substance misuse issues.

In 2015, Mavreen became a Clinical Director at Open Minds Psychological Therapy Service, where they oversaw clinical operations. Mavreen Tariro also worked as an Advisor at the Care Quality Commission, providing specialist advice and input through various means such as telephone, email, and site visits.

Mavreen then joined Vita Health Group in 2019 as a Mental Health Clinical Manager, overseeing the clinical aspects of mental health services. In this role, they managed a team and contributed to the development of mental health programs.

Currently, Mavreen holds the position of Deputy Clinical Lead at Mental Health Matters, where they provide leadership and guidance in the clinical domain. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Counselling from the University of Sunderland in 2003 and completed a course in Interpersonal Psychotherapy at IPT Uk in 2018. Before that, they completed their O 'level education at Nyatsime college in 1999 and a LCCI Business for English course at the Open Learning Centre in 2001.
