Ted Pickerill

Ted Pickerill is the current Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Board of Trustees at Miami University. Ted began their career with the university in December 2004 as the Assistant Dean for Administration for the Farmer School of Business. In December 2010, they were promoted to their current position.

Prior to their work at Miami University, Ted Pickerill was the Business Director at Beville Engineering, Inc. from December 2003 to December 2004. From December 1998 to December 2003, they served as the Executive Officer and interim Commanding Officer of the Naval ROTC Unit at Miami University. Ted began their career in December 1983 as a Naval Officer in the Submarine Service for the U. S. Navy and served in that capacity for 20 years.

Ted Pickerill has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with concentrations in finance and international business. Ted also has a Master of Arts (M.A.) in international relations from Salve Regina University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in mathematics from the US Naval Academy.

Ted Pickerill reports to Gregory Crawford, President. Ted Pickerill works with Jessica Rivinius - Interim VP & Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, Jayne Brownell - Vice President for Student Life, and Cristina Alcalde - Vice President for Institutional Diversity and Inclusion.
