Christopher Petersen

Christopher Petersen is an experienced entrepreneur and executive with a strong background in the payments industry. As the Founder and CEO of Mica since February 2022, Christopher previously founded 1080Payments, which addressed clients' platform and product innovation needs from August 2015 to January 2022. Christopher served as SVP for Platform & Product at OneMarket, where responsibilities included designing a multi-sided platform to enhance brick-and-mortar retail networks, and as SVP of Product Innovation for FIS, focusing on new product concepts within the Global Payments division. Earlier experience includes principal consulting at Penser Consulting and key roles at Google, where contributions involved payments product strategy and account management for TxVia. Christopher has a significant operational background from Fidelity National Information Services, where leadership encompassed B2C and B2B service delivery. Academic credentials include an MBA in Operations from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business and a BA in Critical Theory from Bates College.
