Elizabeth Poehlman (Betsy)

Elizabeth (Betsy) Poehlman is a Patent Engineer at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP since September 2021, leveraging prior experience as an Engineer 1 at Newport News Shipbuilding where responsibilities included calculating airborne room acoustics and developing a database program for sound analysis. Previous roles also include serving as a Mechanical Engineering Teaching Assistant at The University of Alabama, where assistance was provided in a laboratory setting, and as Director of Networking for the University of Alabama Student Government Association, where event planning and student engagement initiatives were coordinated. Elizabeth obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Alabama and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Law (JD) at Loyola University Chicago, expected to complete in May 2027.
