Lindsay Kirchinger, CMP, has a diverse and extensive work experience in economic development, event management, and project coordination. Lindsay began their career in 2004 as a Management/Intern at the City of Durand, where they played a crucial role in developing a Parks & Recreation Master Plan and proposing a new revenue stream for the city. In 2005, Lindsay joined the Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership as an Assistant Director, where they led various projects and successfully secured significant investments and job opportunities for the county. From 2008 to 2013, Lindsay served as a Business Attraction Manager at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, spearheading efforts to attract new corporate investment and helping secure a $16.7 billion investment commitment. Lindsay then progressed within the organization, taking on roles such as Chief of Protocol & Director of Events and Acting Senior Vice President of Global Business Attraction & Development. Since 2023, Lindsay has been working as the Senior Vice President & Operations Executive, Global Business Attraction, Real Estate & Tribal at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Lindsay's track record demonstrates their expertise in driving economic growth and successfully managing high-level projects.
Lindsay Kirchinger, CMP holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan-Flint, which they obtained between 2001 and 2005. Lindsay has also earned several additional certifications to further enhance their professional qualifications. In January 2019, they became a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) through the Events Industry Council. Furthermore, Lindsay obtained the Economic Development Financial Professional (EDFP) certification from the National Development Council (NDC) in October 2011. Currently, Lindsay is in the process of obtaining the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) certification from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
