Sarah Yoakum

Sarah Yoakum is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Manager at the Michigan Organization on Adolescent Sexual Health (MOASH) since May 2023. In this role, Sarah oversees event planning and execution, manages communication materials, and develops initiatives to amplify the voices of affiliated youth. Prior to this, Sarah worked at the Livingston County Community Mental Health Authority from August 2017 to May 2023, serving as a Certified Youth Peer Support Specialist and Respite Provider, where Sarah empowered youth through personal storytelling and provided essential support to children and families. Additionally, Sarah participated in the Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan Summer of Defiance Fellowship in June 2017, focusing on advocacy and community organizing for reproductive rights. Sarah holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Wayne State University and an Associate's degree in General Studies from Washtenaw Community College.
