Jon Debling

Jon Debling, Ph.D., is an experienced technology manager specializing in intellectual property management for physical sciences innovations at Michigan State University since August 2020. Prior to this role, Jon worked as an independent consultant in the chemical and polymer industry and held various significant positions at BASF from 2007 to 2019, including Sr. Group Leader for Refinish R&D and Principal Scientist in Advanced Materials and Systems Research. Jon's early career included roles at Johnson Polymer LLC and SC Johnson, contributing to adhesive development and polymer process technology. Jon Debling holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with a Certificate in Financial Management from Cornell University and a BASc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
