David Richards

David Richards, Ph.D., currently serves as the Executive Director of the Future of Learning Council, a role held since September 2021, where emphasis is placed on advancing next-generation learning models in Michigan. Concurrently, David is the Executive Learning Strategist at Michigan Virtual and Co-Founder and Lead Strategist at Safe Scan Solutions, LLC, developing tools like OPEN CAMPUS® for student ID management. As President of Core2Edge, LLC, David guides K-12 district leaders in creating learner-centered environments. David's educational leadership experience includes serving as Superintendent of Fraser Public Schools and Director of Educational Technology at Rochester Community Schools. David holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and an Education Specialist degree in School Administration from Oakland University, alongside a Master's in Educational/Instructional Technology from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor's in Secondary Education from Central Michigan University.
