Thierry Hessler

Thierry Hessler is a highly experienced professional in the field of physics and engineering, currently serving as Product Engineering Manager at Micro Crystal AG since October 2022, focusing on ultra-low power quartz-based timing components. With a background enriched by academic and industry roles, Thierry has held positions such as Professor at HE-ARC from May 2015 to October 2022, where responsibilities included teaching and research in watchmaking. Previous experience includes Senior Scientist roles at Micro Crystal AG and Swatch Group R&D, where contributions included the production of quartz tuning forks and leadership in MEMS technologies, respectively. Thierry also has a strong academic foundation, having completed a PhD in Physics at EPFL and engaging in significant research roles at institutions such as EPFL and The University of Western Australia.
