Colin Halford

Colin Halford is an experienced professional in the fields of medical research and laboratory management, currently serving as the Basic Science Laboratory and Safety Manager for Urology, OB-GYN, and Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA since October 2021. Colin co-founded MicrobeDx in January 2015, where roles include Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Technical Officer. Prior to these positions, Colin led the Ruby Winston UCLA/VA Diagnostic Microbiology Research Group as Head of Research from February 2008 to October 2021. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Southern California (2004-2007) and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry Co-op from McMaster University (1999-2004).
