Nolen Velasco Jr.

Nolen Velasco Jr. is a seasoned firmware engineer with extensive experience in the development of enterprise storage solutions. Currently serving as a Principal Firmware Engineer at Micron Technology since February 2022, Nolen focuses on CXL development. Prior to this role, Nolen held positions at Western Digital, including Technologist Firmware Engineer and Principal Firmware Engineer, where contributions included low-level firmware development for NVMe enterprise SSDs and the creation of diagnostic frameworks. Nolen's earlier career at SanDisk® involved leading firmware development for NVMe-based SSDs, managing failure analysis, and securing a patent for firmware process design. Nolen began a career in firmware and software programming as an ATE Technician at Quest Consulting, following a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University.
