Nishant Kumar has a diverse work experience in the field of financial inclusion and digital banking. Nishant is currently working as the FI Lab Lead at MSC-Enabling inclusion in the digital age, where they support start-ups and aims to improve the financial health of India's underserved population. Prior to this, Nishant co-founded and served as the CEO of Lakshya, a start-up focused on improving the financial health of low- and moderate-income individuals. Nishant has also worked as a Project Manager at Enviu, consulting on building a financial inclusion portfolio and developing solutions for low-income segments. Nishant has experience in customer insights and product development through their role as a Senior Manager at Jana Foundation, where they provided expertise to a microfinance institution transitioning to a Small Finance Bank. Additionally, they have worked at MicroSave, leading digital financial services projects and consulting with central banks on mobile banking. Nishant's early work experience includes an internship at Nehru Urban Renewal Mission.
Nishant Kumar completed their B.A. in Economics from Patna University in 2009. Nishant then pursued a PGDRM degree in Management from Xavier Institute of Management (XIM Bhubaneswar) from 2006 to 2009. Additionally, Nishant obtained various certifications from LinkedIn, including Systems Thinking, Become an Entrepreneur Inside a Company, Storytelling with Data, Applying Agile MoSCoW Prioritization, and Wireframing for Product Managers. Nishant also received training in Digital Financial Services, Agent Network Management and Assessment, DFS Marketing and Communication, Financial Education, Market Research, Pilot Testing, Process Mapping, and Training Techniques from MicroSave.
