Peng Paul Liu has had a successful career in the engineering and medical fields. In 2004, they began working as a Staff Design Engineer at Xilinx. In 2008, they moved to the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at UC Berkeley, where they worked as a Research Assistant and designed a compact biosensor for point-of-care in-vitro diagnostic applications. In 2013, they began working as a Researcher at the University of Chicago - The Pritzker School of Medicine. Most recently, in 2016, they became the President and CEO of Microsensor Labs, where they are developing novel sensor technologies (Sanibit & MagiCyte) that address unmet needs in healthcare.
Peng Paul Liu received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in EECS from the University of California, Berkeley. Peng Paul then obtained their Master of Science - MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University. Peng Paul completed their education with a Bachelor of Science - BS in Microelectronics from Peking University.
