Ishani Chakraborty

Ishani Chakraborty is a Principal Researcher at Microsoft, contributing to advancements in Mixed Reality and AI technologies since January 2015. Notably, Ishani has led research on 3D Semantic Understanding for Hololens and was the primary author of the Multiple People Tracking algorithm integrated into Azure's Reality-as-a-Service API. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rutgers University, Ishani's background includes significant roles at SRI International, where contributions were made to projects such as IARPA's Aladdin, and earlier experiences at various institutions, focusing on computer vision, deep learning, and machine learning applications.
