Tom Konert, PhD has worked in various medical and engineering roles since 2009. Tom began working as an employee at Holland Casino in 2009 and then went on to pursue medical and engineering internships and roles. In 2012, they volunteered in Community Health and Medical Care in Nepal. From 2012 to 2013, they completed internships at the UMC Utrecht Orthopedic Department, UMC St Radboud Department of Neurosurgery/Anatomy, and Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna BioRobotics Institute. In 2013, they began a Specialization Internship at the Department of Radiotherapy at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek and also began a PhD candidacy there. From 2017 to 2019, they worked on PET radiomics in repeated FLT and FDG-PET scans in non-small cell lung cancer at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. In 2019, they began working as a Clinical Field Specialist/Engineer at MicroSure.
Tom Konert, PhD completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Twente in 2011, majoring in Technical Medicine. Tom then went on to earn a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Technical Medicine from the same university in 2014. Prior to that, Tom attended Oranje Nassau College, where they obtained a VWO in Natuur en Gezondheid in 2006.
