Richard Formato has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. From 2018, they have been serving as the Director of New Technology at Microtek Laboratories, Inc., where they are responsible for research, development, analysis, and product improvement. Prior to that, in 2017, they worked as a Principal at Jemard, LLC, where they provided technical consulting and business development services. From 2008 to 2017, they held multiple roles at Cold Chain Technologies, including Principal Technologist, R&D Manager, and Principal Thermal Engineer. Additionally, they worked as a Project Development Engineer at Essilor from 2000 to 2003, and as a Project Engineer at Foster-Miller from 1995 to 2000. Richard Formato has a diverse skill set that includes project management, technical leadership, materials development, intellectual property creation/management, manufacturing/process engineering, and fuel cell technology.
Richard Formato attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. From 1993 to 1998, they enrolled in Worcester Polytechnic Institute, earning a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.
