Robbert Bentvelsen

Robbert Bentvelsen is a seasoned Clinical Microbiologist with extensive experience in the medical microbiology field. Currently serving as a Technical Assessor at Raad voor Accreditatie since January 2022, Robbert ensures compliance with ISO 15189:2012 and ISO 15189:2022 standards. Concurrently, Robbert holds multiple Clinical Microbiologist positions at ZorgSaam Zorggroep Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, Amphia Ziekenhuis, and Microvida. Additionally, Robbert is a PHD student and Resident Clinical Microbiologist at Leiden University Medical Center. As the founder of Participatient, Robbert coordinates medical initiatives, integrating clinical ideas with data and technology. Robbert's career includes leadership as Team Lead of the Dutch Ebola Lab team in Sierra Leone. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Infection Prevention and Control from Leiden University and a Doctor of Medicine from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
