Mike Phillips joined Mid-America Real Estate Corporation in 1997 and is currently a Principal of the firm. Mr. Phillips specializes in Retail Tenant Representation throughout the Midwest.
Mr. Phillips has been involved with the Chicago area expansion programs for multiple national retailers such as ALDI, Ross Dress For Less, CVS/Pharmacy, Pier 1 Imports, Trader Joe's, Starbuck's, Shoe Carnival and Party City.
In the course of his career, Mr. Phillips has also been involved in various successful retail development projects including a 350,000 square foot retail Walmart anchored center in Niles, Illinois, a 30-acre mixed-use development in Lombard, Illinois and a redevelopment of a former Menards in Moline, Illinois. Mr. Phillips has also performed the land assemblage work required for the development of multiple CVS/Pharmacy locations.
Mr. Phillips is a native of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area and attended Bucknell University, where he played football for four years and earned a degree in economics. He currently lives in Clarendon Hills, Illinois with his wife and three young children.
Mr. Phillips is an active member in various professional affiliations including International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC).
