Michael Gautreaux

Michael Gautreaux serves as the Interim Co-Director at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center since June 2024 and holds the position of Professor and Laboratory Director at Wake Forest Baptist Health, where responsibilities include overseeing the HLA/Immunogenetics and Immunodiagnostics Laboratories. Additionally, Michael Gautreaux has provided clinical consultancy for the Mid-South Transplant Foundation, Inc. and has held interim leadership roles in histocompatibility at the American Red Cross and VCU Health. Their extensive experience in laboratory directorship in various healthcare settings, coupled with active participation in local governance as a Village Councilman and Planning Board member in Clemmons, demonstrates a strong commitment to both medical and community service. Michael Gautreaux's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Microbiology/Immunology and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Histocompatibility and Immunodiagnostics from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.
