Bruce Butler

Bruce Butler is an accomplished executive in the healthcare industry with extensive leadership experience. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Samaritan Health Plans since July 2019, Bruce previously held the role of Chief Executive Officer at Valley Health Plan from March 2015 to July 2019. Earlier positions include Chief Strategy Officer for Health Sciences and Services at the University of California Office of the President, Chief Underwriter at Presbyterian Healthcare Services, and partner at Tatum LLC. Bruce's career began with influential roles at United Healthcare, Aetna, and several other healthcare organizations. Bruce holds an MBA in Finance & Business Statistics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University.
