Kathy Cohen

Kathy Cohen has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Lecturer at The College of Management Academic Studies since 2022. Before that, they worked at venn from 2019 to 2021 as the Global Training and Development Lead and then continued as the Lead Community Facilitator until 2021. In 2016, they served as the Head of Fire Department at Midburn, where they were responsible for managing a department of 400 volunteers and ensuring the safety requirements of the event. From 2017 to 2019, Kathy worked at Mobilize.io as the Director of Product Marketing & Community Development. Kathy founded Kixx Digital in 2014 and was responsible for website management, social media platforms, and SEO strategies. Kathy also worked as the Head of Marketing, Digital, and Account Management at EverThere from 2015 to 2016, and as the Content, SEO, Co-operations & Social Media Manager at Wideo.co in 2013-2014. Additionally, they have experience as a Shark Diver at UnderWater World - Mooloolaba from 2011 to 2012 and as a Village Life Manager - Community Manager at Campus Living Villages from 2010 to 2011. Their first role was as a Choreographer and Stage Manager at Club Med from 2009 to 2010.

Kathy Cohen completed their Bachelor of Business in Event Management from Griffith University, from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained three diplomas from TAFE Queensland: a Diploma of Marketing - Operations Management and a Diploma of International Business (both in 2002-2003), as well as a Diploma of Business (in 2001-2003). Kathy also holds a certification as an Open Water Scuba Instructor from PADI, which they obtained in February 2008.
