Sharon Porter

Sharon Porter is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background spanning several sectors. Currently serving as an Administrative Officer at Middlesex FA since September 2022, Sharon previously held the position of Safeguarding Officer at the same organization from April 2018 to July 2021, specializing in the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. Prior to this, Sharon retired after a distinguished career as a Detective Constable with the Metropolitan Police from May 1991 to November 2017, focusing on Public Protection and missing persons. Sharon's earlier experience includes serving as a Dental Assistant in the Royal Air Force from June 1985 to January 1991, where responsibilities included performing as a medic during a major ambulance dispute and serving at multiple RAF bases, including a two-year overseas posting in Cyprus. Education was completed at Tile Hill Woods Girls School from 1980 to 1985.
