Heather Reiter

Heather Reiter is an experienced Training and Safety Specialist at Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District since September 2015, focusing on staff development programs, safety training, compliance with regulations, and managing safety-related initiatives. Previously, Heather served as President of the Park Rangers Association of California and held positions such as Chief Ranger at the City of Santa Cruz, where responsibilities included managing operations of recreational areas and resource management. Additional experience includes being a Volunteer Coordinator for the County of Santa Clara and Public Information Officer for the Park Peace Officer's Association of San Jose. Heather holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Wildlife Biology from the University of California, Davis, and a Workplace Health and Safety Manager Certificate.
