Gordon German

Gordon German has worked in various roles since 1983. Gordon began their career at GKN Sinter Metals - Powdered Metal Forging facility as a Lean Manager/Engineer/Supervisor, where they managed scrap reduction initiatives that reduced scrap by over 33% in a 6 month period, resulting in a savings of $100,000 per month. Gordon also led a continuous improvement team that reduced coating defects by 25%, and supervised the daily activities of 45 production, tool room and maintenance employees. In 2007, Gordon worked as a Supervisor at Diversified Machine Inc., where they maintained the production floor and coordinated skilled trades on breakdowns and PM projects. Gordon also worked as a Salesperson at Fisher Honda. From 2010 to 2012, Gordon worked as a Dispatcher at Community EMS, and from 2012 to 2014, they were a Manager/Supervisor at Lincoln Forge subsidiary of Lincoln Park Die & Tool, responsible for managing incoming stock throughout the forging process. Finally, from 2014 to 2016, Gordon worked as a Plant Manager at Midwest Tool & Cutlery Co, where they initiated changes in shift and staffing to allow more flexibility to make more products with less overtime. Gordon also cleaned and organized the storage building so all bars of steel would fit inside, and the forge facility produced a record number of parts in 2016.

Gordon German attended Oakland Community College from 1985 to 1986, where they studied Business. Gordon also attended Wayne County Community College from 1981 to 1986, where they studied Business and Electrical.
