Gaji Balakaneshan

Gaji Balakaneshan, CFA now serves as Chief Operating Officer, promoted from Vice President of Finance in January of 2022. Since joining in March as the Vice President, Finance, Gaji has helped lead the sales organization and develop strategic and commercial opportunities for the business.

He brings over 13 years of experience in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, sales and operations planning, financial modeling, and analysis.

Previously, Balakaneshan worked with CF Industries in multiple roles including Product Manager, Corporate Strategy and Development Manager and Senior Financial Analyst. There, he was leading their UAN group and oversaw more than $1BN in North American projects. Prior to that, he spent three years at Elevance Renewable Sciences in Woodridge, Ill. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University in Boston, Mass.
