Michael Odongo has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. From 1999 to 2005, they worked in project leadership roles for various engagements. In 2005, they joined NTT DATA Corporation as a Managing Consultant/Principal until 2008. During this time, they gained expertise in data management, data governance, data security, analytics, and AI consulting services. In 2008, Michael became the CEO of Mikan Insights, where they provided association, alumni, and donor insights solutions as well as consulting services in data management and analytics. In 2017, they took on the role of School Board Member at Lincolnshire-Prairie View District 103, focusing on building bridges between the community and the schools. Lastly, in 2022, they became the President of Angaza Center, advocating for information and communication technology literacy for students in rural African secondary schools.

Michael Odongo has a history of pursuing education in various fields. In 1998 to 1999, they attended Ferris State University and earned a Master of Science degree in Information Systems Management. Then, in 2007, they attended the University of Chicago, where they focused on Project Management Strategy and received a professional degree in Negotiation. In 2009, they returned to Harvard Business School to further enhance their negotiation skills, focusing on Negotiation and Competitive Decision Making. Finally, in 2017, they completed a Master's program in Negotiation at Harvard Business School, specializing in the field of Master Negotiation.
