Kathleen de Smedt

Kathleen De Smedt has extensive work experience in various companies and roles. Currently, they are the Head of Corporate Affairs and Communication at Milcobel since April 2019. Additionally, they hold the position of Chairman at vonk | netwerk voor interne communicatie since April 2019. In the past, they worked as a Lecturer at EHSAL Management School from September 2016 onwards. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at Nokia, where they held multiple positions including Director of Fixed Networks Communications (January 2007 - April 2013), Director EMEA Communications (January 2013 - January 2016), and Director Fixed Networks Communications (January 2016 - April 2019). Kathleen also served as a Board Member at FTTH Council Europe (March 2008 - November 2009) and Communications Committee Chair (2005 - 2008).

Kathleen De Smedt has completed several educational programs and degrees. Kathleen attended Alliance Manchester Business School for the Program for High Value Managers. Kathleen also participated in the Stretch Management Program at the Danish Leadership Institute. Kathleen completed the Residential Boost Program for Executive Development at emlyon business school. Kathleen obtained a Master's Degree in Translator, Interpreter English, Italian, and Chinese from RUCA (Antwerp University). Additionally, they pursued a Postgraduate in Corporate Management at KU Leuven and specialized in Chinese at Xi'An Foreign Language Institute in China.
