Holly Baird

Director of Accounts and Client Delivery at Milepost Consulting

Holly Baird has a wealth of experience in the Built Environment sector, with over a decade of project management and design experience in both the public and private sectors. Holly began their career in 2004 as a Project Coordinator at MJM Architects. In 2003, they worked as a Store Environment Interior Planner at Ann Taylor, where they designed over 100 floor plans for Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor LOFT throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Holly also spearheaded a Fixed Asset Inventory and Fixture Floor Plan project for Ann Taylor. In 2005, they joined Gresham Smith and Partners as an Interior Designer in the Corporate and Urban Design department, where they programmed, designed, coordinated disciplines, and served as the primary contact during design and construction administration to complete numerous retail and corporate interior projects. Holly also managed the LEED Certification as the project administrator for Vanderbilt University Rand Dining Hall renovation. In 2008, they became a Project Manager at Facility Planners Inc., where they designed and coordinated space and facility plans, finish selections, furniture layouts and specifications. Holly also produced construction documents, quotations, and bid proposals for a variety of projects. In 2010, they joined Powell Design + Construction Studios as a Registered Interior Designer, where they headed the Interior Design services for a variety of commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and design/build projects. Holly also supervised and managed the work of all Interior Design interns for Powell Design Studio. From 2012 to 2013, they served as President of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Tennessee Chapter. In 2011, they began working as a Planning Analyst 4 (Executive Service) for the State of Tennessee, where they designed and project managed portions of the State of Tennessee Project T3 - Transforming Tennessee for Tomorrow. In 2014, they joined Tuck-Hinton Architects as a Registered Interior Designer, LEED AP+ID&C, where they provided design services including determining scope of services, space and facility planning, design development, finish selections, furniture, fixtures and equipment layouts and specifications, construction documents, bid negotiation, construction administration, and LEED Certification administration. In 2015, they began working as the Regional Director, South Central Region, and Director of Tennessee and Kentucky for the U.S. Green Building Council, and in 2018 they joined Milepost Consulting as the Director of Accounts and Client Delivery. At Milepost, they work with clients to provide management consulting with a focus on the engagement side of sustainability, stellar client services, meaningful partnerships, strategic planning, and design-oriented thinking.

Holly Baird has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Lipscomb University in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management, which they obtained from 2013 to 2014. Holly also has a BA from Vanderbilt University in Political Science and Art/Art History double major, which they obtained from 1997 to 2001. Holly has an AAS from the New York School of Interior Design in Interior Design, which they obtained from 2001 to 2003. Holly also has a High School Diploma from Harpeth Hall School, which they obtained from 1990 to 1997. In addition, they have obtained certifications from various institutions, such as the Center for Active Design, National Council for Interior Design Qualification, The Center for Health Design, International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), and GBCI.
