Michelle Cortez

Michelle Cortez has had an extensive career in the beverage industry. Michelle began their career in 2006 as a Bartender at Cozymel's in San Diego. In 2010, they moved on to become a Chain Territory Manager at Southern Wine & Spirits. Michelle then joined Sysco in 2013 as a Marketing Associate, where they were responsible for building relationships with new and existing accounts, helping customers succeed, and evaluating market trends. In 2014, they became a Territory Sales Manager at Ole Smoky Moonshine. In 2016, they accepted a position as a Rum Runner at Papa's Pilar Rum, Hemingway Rum Co. and they are currently a Market Manager at Milestone Brands, LLC since 2017.

Michelle Cortez earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from San Diego State University-California State University in 2009, and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Diego State University in 2007. Michelle also holds a WSET Level 2 certification.
