Toni Riera has a diverse work experience spanning several prominent companies. In 2012, they worked at Amazon as a Category Lead, Marketplace. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at The Boston Consulting Group, first as a Senior Associate and later as a Consultant. Toni then joined Uber in 2017 as a General Manager, before moving to Bird in 2018 to serve as a General Manager for the Spain and Portugal markets. In 2020, they became the General Manager at SumUp, a role they held until 2022. At SumUp, Toni was also a Director on the Global Expansion team, responsible for leading new revenue streams and entering new markets. In 2021, they became a Founding Investor and Advisor at BackFund. Finally, in 2022, Toni co-founded Milio (YC W23) and currently serves as the CEO.
Toni Riera's education history includes a Batch W23 program at Y Combinator. They also obtained a BS & MSc degree in Business and Finance from Esade. Additionally, Toni pursued an MSc degree in Finance through the National University of Singapore's Exchange Program. Lastly, Toni obtained a Diploma in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). In terms of additional certifications, they completed an Advanced Product Management course from Udemy in 2019 and won the national level of the Case Competition from Oliver Wyman in 2010.
