Angel Garibay

Angel Garibay has diverse experience in public service and education, serving as a District 9 Council Temporary Representative for the City of San Diego in 2024 and previously as a Field Representative Intern for the same city from 2022 to 2023. Early career involvement includes roles such as an intern at AFT, a Science Educator at Ocean Discovery Institute, and Assistant Manager at International Travelers House. Angel served in the United States Marine Corps from 2009 to 2013 as an Infantryman. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Political Science and Government, expected from San Diego State University in December 2024, and prior degrees in Language, Culture and Society, and an Associate of Arts in Language and Humanities from San Diego City College. Additional academic experience includes cross-enrollment in Linguistics at the University of California San Diego.
