Richard Small

Richard Small is an accomplished medical professional and veteran advocate with extensive experience in leadership roles within military and veteran organizations. Currently serving as the National Surgeon for the Military Order of the Purple Heart of the U.S.A., Inc. since 2013, Richard also holds the titles of Commander for the Department of Nevada and Region VI Commander. Additionally, Richard has been the President of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 17 in Las Vegas since April 2012. Richard earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Michigan Medical School from 1963 to 1967 and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology/Psychology from the University of Michigan from 1958 to 1963.
