Kenneth Givens has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Lead Carpenter at Ruby Builder's Construction where they gained hands-on experience in residential and commercial construction. Kenneth then worked as a Researcher at Georgia Southern University, where they published research comparing the accuracy of a total station and a 3D laser scanner. Kenneth also worked as a Counselor at Falling Creek Camp, where they mentored and supervised young men. Kenneth later joined Spirit Construction Services as an Assistant Project Manager/Engineer, where they performed various roles including Project Controls Engineer, Field Engineer, and System Turnover Manager. Due to their excellent performance, they were promoted to Project Manager. Kenneth joined Miller-Valentine Group as an Assistant Project Manager and was later promoted to Project Manager. Currently, they are a Co-Founder of Be the Change Foundation, which offers scholarships to students graduating from the two high schools Kenneth and Randy LaMons attended, with plans for future expansion.
Kenneth Givens earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Southern University, where they attended from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications. Kenneth completed the Project Manager Academy from FMI in June 2022. In November 2017, they obtained various certifications from Procore Technologies, including Procore Certified: Architect, Procore Certified: Engineer, Procore Certified: Fundamentals, Procore Certified: Project Manager (Construction Financials), Procore Certified: Project Manager (Core Tools), and Procore Certified: Project Manager (Project Management). Furthermore, they hold the GHS & OSHA HazCom Training Certificate from OSHA-Training.com, which they obtained in August 2017. Additionally, they have completed OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications from OSHA-Training.com in July 2017 and May 2017, respectively.
