Laura R. Howell

Laura R. Howell has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Their most recent position is as the Senior Manager of Distribution Programs at MillerKnoll since November 2022. Before that, they held the role of Dealer Activation Manager for North America and was also the NextGen Leadership Program Lead at MillerKnoll from November 2021 to November 2022.

Prior to their time at MillerKnoll, Laura served as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors at Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business starting from October 2017.

Laura also has experience at Herman Miller, where they worked as a Dealer Development Manager and NextGen Lead from January 2016 to November 2021. In this role, they collaborated with dealer principals and teams to establish high-performing dealerships aligned with Herman Miller's goals.

Before joining Herman Miller, Laura worked at Teknion as the Regional Vice President for the Southeast region from November 2013 to April 2015. Laura R. was responsible for leading and motivating the Southeast Regional Selling Team and achieving sales goals. Laura R. also managed business activities, budgeting, and relationship management with customers, dealers, and architecture and design firms.

Laura's earlier roles include positions at Steelcase, where they served as a Strategic Account Manager from October 2012 to April 2013, a Workplace Consultant from September 2007 to October 2012, and a Business Development Manager for the Mid Atlantic and Southeast regions from November 2004 to September 2007.

Additionally, Laura has experience as an Architecture & Design Workplace Consultant at Holmes & Brakel Business Interiors from June 2002 to November 2004, an Interior Designer and New Business Sales at Perdue Office Interiors from May 2000 to June 2002, and an Interior Designer at Saxelbye Architects from May 1999 to May 2000.

Laura began their career as a Facilities and Design Consultant at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida from November 1997 to May 1999.

Throughout their career, Laura has demonstrated expertise in sales, leadership, dealer development, relationship management, and project coordination.

Laura R. Howell received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design from Samford University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. In 2009, they pursued further education at Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business and completed an Executive MBA program with a focus on leadership.
