Heiko Junga

Heiko Junga is a highly experienced Senior Scientist at Cerilliant Corporation since December 2012, specializing in the synthesis of high purity certified reference standards and stable labeled internal standards. Prior to this role, Junga served as Lead Scientist in Organic Synthesis at Covance Laboratories from 2001 to November 2011, where responsibilities included designing and executing syntheses for reference standards and initiating a custom synthesis business. Previous positions include Scientist roles at PPG Industries and Sigma-Aldrich, focusing on custom synthesis of fine chemicals and process research and development. Junga's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Technische Universität Berlin, along with postdoctoral fellowships at the University of California, Berkeley, and The University of Göttingen, complemented by a Master's degree in Chemistry from The University of Bonn.
