Matt Ducondi is currently the Coordinator of Data Quality Assurance Technology Operations for the Milwaukee Brewers. Matt was previously with the Pittsburgh Pirates from February 2019 to October 2019 as their Minor League Operations and Video Assistant. In this role, they served as the point person for all player transactions, team travel, and logistics while performing administrative tasks as dictated by the Pirates Front Office. Matt also developed Advanced Scouting reports on upcoming opponents using the Pirates’ proprietary SQL database, TruMedia, and video analysis. Additionally, they recorded, charted, and edited all Indianapolis Indians’ bullpens and games within BATS software and uploaded video to appropriate coordinators and Front Office personnel. Matt assisted the Coaching Staff and Manager in integrating advanced technologies (Edgertronic, Rapsodo, Diamond Kinetics, PitchGrader, PitchLogic) to aid in understanding player performance and identifying areas of growth. Prior to their time with the Pirates, Ducondi was the Minor League Video Advance Assistant for the Pittsburgh Pirates from March 2018 to October 2018. Before that, they were a Senior Video Scout for Sports Info Solutions (formerly Baseball Info Solutions) from March 2016 to March 2018. Ducondi got their start in politics as a Field Director for Leon Stavrinakis for Mayor from June 2015 to November 2015.
Matt Ducondi has a Bachelors of Science in Sport Management from Ithaca College. Matt also has certifications from DataCamp in Introduction to R, Data Manipulation in R with dplyr, Data Visualization in R with ggvis, Intermediate R, and Intermediate R - Practice.
