Alissa Gottfreid

Alissa Gottfreid has extensive experience in animal care and management, currently serving as a Zookeeper at the Milwaukee County Zoo since January 2017, where responsibilities include ensuring the safety of both the zoo and its animals and fulfilling various care requests from the Animal Department. Prior roles at the Milwaukee County Zoo included Small Mammal Keeper and Aviary Keeper, showcasing a diverse skill set with various species. Alissa also has significant experience from the Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals as a Front Desk Receptionist and previously worked at Racine Zoo in multiple capacities such as Zookeeper and Registrar. Earlier professional positions include Admitting Coordinator at the Animal Emergency Center and Kennel Supervisor at Animal Motel. Alissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Conservation and Environmental Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
