Shirley A Metcalf

Shirley A Metcalf possesses extensive experience in finance and education, currently serving as a Board Member and Finance Vice President for the AAUW-Milwaukee Branch since November 2017, while also tutoring English Language Learners and Adult Basic Education at Literacy Services of Wisconsin. Shirley has held several finance-related roles, including Finance Vice President and Treasurer for the AAUW Milwaukee Branch since May 2015 and Owner/President of Young-Star Financial Services LLC since January 2012, providing services such as bookkeeping and tax preparation. Additionally, Shirley has been the Accounts Payable/Purchasing Manager at Milwaukee School of Engineering since August 1997, with responsibilities in training and investigations. Prior involvement includes co-chairing the UWM School of Education Alumni Chapter from 2009 to 2012. Shirley holds multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Childcare Administration Certificate from UWM School of Continuing Education.
