Mark Smith

Mark Smith has a long and varied work experience. Mark started their career in 2009 as a Product Development Engineer at Babcock Marine, Plymouth (formerly DML). In 2011, they took on a role as a Researcher (MSc) at the University of Oxford. In 2016, they became the Director of TurnsPro Design Ltd., running a design consultancy with two colleagues and focusing on electronic design, data analytics, control theory and data science. In 2018, they took on the role of Engineering Consultant at Collins Aerospace. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Research Scientist at Mind Foundry.

Mark Smith completed their BEng in Electronic Engineering at Bangor University between 2003 and 2007. Mark then attended the University of Oxford for an MSc (Research) in Pattern Recognition, which they completed between 2011 and 2013. Prior to this, Mark attended Wilmington Grammar School for Boys from 1995 to 2000.
