Sanja Kovac

Sanja Kovac has been working in the tech industry since 2011. Sanja began their career as a Software Tester at the Jozef Stefan Institute in 2011. In 2013, they moved into Android development at the same institute. In 2014, they joined Halcom d.d. as a Software Engineer, where they worked on an e-banking solution, helped with the setup of a content management system, and was the Component Owner for features Campaign Management and Help. In 2017, they joined Wise as a Product Engineer for Fraud Prevention, where they worked on multiple projects to improve speed and accuracy of fraud checks. Sanja also worked on a dispute investigation tool and assisted with the hiring and onboarding of engineers. In 2022, Sanja Kovac joined Mind Foundry as a Software Engineer.

Sanja Kovac has a background in Computer Science and Mathematics, having attended the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer and Information Science and the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. In addition, they have obtained numerous certifications, including Remote Sensing Image Acquisition, Analysis and Applications from Coursera in April 2022, Indigenous Canada from Coursera in December 2021, Apache Kafka Series - Kafka Streams for Data Processing and Apache Kafka Series - Learn Apache Kafka for Beginners from Udemy in December 2017, An Introduction to Marketing and Competitive Strategy from Coursera in July and May 2014 respectively, CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) from University of Cambrodge (ESOL Examinations) in December 2011, and Bitcoin 101 from Big Data University in February 2017.
