Darshan Lal

Darshan Lal has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Starting in 2002, they worked as an Engineer at Punj Lloyd Limited, handling project materials and local purchasing. Darshan then joined Mindarika Private Limited in 2006 as a Member-Purchase, where they released purchase orders and maintained delivery schedules. In 2007, they became an Assistant Manager at India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd., focusing on the development of sheet metal components and coordinating with suppliers. In 2009, they joined PIAGGIO Vehicles Private Limited as an Assistant Manager (Global Sourcing), responsible for adding new business and managing two-wheeler components. In 2011, they began their tenure at SMR Automotive Global, starting as a Deputy Manager Global Purchasing and advancing to roles such as Global Commodity Manager and Head of Purchase. During this time, they handled global purchasing and led cross-functional teams in the development of mirror parts. Most recently, in 2021, they joined UNO MINDA Group as a Deputy General Manager, responsible for leading 2W Lighting Plants across India and managing the purchasing and development of various commodities. Darshan has also been assigned the role of General Lead Corporate Materials, overseeing supplier upgrading and development at a PAN India level. Overall, Darshan Lal has extensive experience in purchasing, development, and strategic management in the automotive industry.

Darshan Lal completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Marketing & HR from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology - SMU, from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Maintenance Engineering from the Board of Technical Education, Delhi, from 1999 to 2002. Darshan'ssecondary education includes completing the 12th standard in an engineering course at Ramjas School No: 5, Delhi, from 1996 to 1998. Darshan also completed their general studies from the 6th to 10th grade at Ramjas School No: 4, Delhi, from 1991 to 1996.
